Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19th and is also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day. 
The symbols of the Juneteenth flag include:
a white star, representing Texas, the Lone Star State, where the country’s last remaining slaves were notified of their freedom in 1865
a bursting outline around the star, inspired by a nova, and symbolizing a new beginning for the African Americans of Galveston and throughout the land.
